In this last week of intense campaigning for our candidates to Get Out The Vote, we work to win because when we show up we win. If you already voted, call your friends and family and make sure they have voted. Any of your neighbors or club members need a ride to a vote center or need their ballot hand delivered to ROV? Now is the time to come to their aid. Our country, state and city is depending on us to do our part. Continue to volunteer for our candidates at HQ or directly for the candidates themselves. Special shout out to Patti and Duane Siegmann as they walk Reno neighborhoods on behalf of the Republican Party GOTV. Godspeed!
Be positive, encouraging, and optimistic. We do not need to resort to desperation tactics. Our message is clear and it is a better message. Republicans are fighting for citizens of every background, and every race, religion, race, and creed. We are a movement for All Americans who believe in fairness and justice, equality and dignity, opportunity and safety.
Veterans Day on November 11 is the anniversary of the signing of the armistice, which ended the World War I hostilities between the Allied nations and Germany in 1918. The theme for Veterans Day 2024 by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is “A Legacy of Loyalty and Service.” RWCSDC honors all our military veterans who served in the U.S. Armed Forces. Thank you for your service to our great country, the U.S.A.
This Thanksgiving as we celebrate this day with family and friends, it is about reflecting on blessings and acknowledging gratitude. In the words of President George Washington in his 1789 Thanksgiving Proclamation: “Whereas it is the duty of all Nations to acknowledge the providence of Almighty God, to obey his will, to be grateful for his benefits, and humbly to implore his protection and favor and whereas both Houses of Congress have by their joint Committee requested me to recommend to the People of the United States a day of public thanksgiving and prayer to be observed by acknowledging with grateful hearts the many signal favors of Almighty God, especially by affording them an opportunity peaceably to establish a form of government for their safety and happiness.” These are words that are as true today as it was in 1789.
In gratitude for this great country,
Michele Zemcik, President
